We will strive to be accountable and prudent in handling public funds -Chitalu.

The Ministry of Health says it will strive to be accountable and prudent in the way it handles funds to avoid audit queries.
Speaking at the 2019 Policy meeting in Lusaka, Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya says he is happy that the ministry has recorded a reduction in audit queries in the 2017 Auditor General’s Report.
Dr. Chitalu says government will continue to build on leadership and governance, adding that the management capacity strengthening framework for 2011 to 2016 has continued to guide on how to strengthen governance in the ministry.
And Permanent Secretary for Administration in the Ministry of Health Dr Kenndy Malama has urged the cooperating partners in the health sector to be conversant with the seventh national development plan in a bid to achieve developmental benefits.
Dr Malama says the document calls for integrated approach to development hence the need for the cooperating partners to be familiar with the document as they work with government in ensuring that meaningful development is achieved in the ministry of health.
