Access Bank Zambia partners with MTN Zambia

Access Bank Zambia says the increase in the use of technology is an opportunity for the banking sector to drive the agenda of financial inclusion.

And the commercial bank says it will continue to invest heavily in its digital banking infrastructure to ensure excellent customer experience.
Speaking at the launch of the USSD mobile banking integration with MTN Access Bank Zambia Managing Director Joana Bannerman says the aim of the partnership is for the bank is to make banking services available to the underserved Zambians.
She says the partnership with MTN is an addition to various innovative solutions that the bank has rolled out to serve various segments of the market.
She says the integration with MTN Mobile Money will allow Access bank customers to transfer money from a bank account to an MTN mobile wallet and vice versa.
“This is a significant step to improve the quality of service as well as enhance financial inclusion in Zambia,” she said.
And MTN Zambia General Manager for Mobile Financial Services Edmund Barwuah says the partnership will help bridge the financial and technology divide that limit the opportunity that Zambians can benefit from the services.
