Price of copper rises from US$5760 to US$5,719 per tonne.

The price of copper on the London Metal Exchange has increased to US$5760 from over US$5,719 per tonne.
In the first week of September this year, a tonne of copper was selling at US$5,738.00 a drop from US$5,750 during the last week of August 2019.
The three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange rose as much as 1.3% to US$5,848.50 a tonne.
Trade experts have attributed this rise to positive sentiments in the trade war between China and the United States of America.
Meanwhile the Zambia Chamber of Mines projected a 100,000 tonnes drop in copper production this year which according to Chamber of Mines Chief Executive Officer Sokwani Chilembo will see Zambia’s mining industry drop-off the global top ten Copper producers list.
