Fuel Pumps up.

The Energy Regulation Board has adjusted upwards fuel pump price effective midnight.


According to a statement issued by Energy Regulation Board Chairperson, Raymond Mpundu petrol has been increased to seventeen Kwacha sixty two ngwee per liter from fifteen Kwacha ninety ngwee a liter.
Diesel has been increased to fifteen Kwacha fifty nine ngwee from fourteen Kwacha twenty three ngwee per liter.


Kerosene’s has been adjusted to fifteen Kwacha thirty nine ngwee from thirteen Kwacha two ngwee.
Mr Mpundu said the increase has been necessitated following the review of wholesale and pump prices of fuel for the most recent imported cargo of petroleum feedstocks and finished petroleum products
And the Board has also revised upwards electricity tariffs for domestic uses based on consumer category consumption.


Mr Mpundu says in  accordance with the electricity Act chapter 433 of the laws of Zambia the Energy Regulation Board has reviewed the application made by the power utility firm requests to increase electricity tariffs on domestic consumption.
He says the analysis of Zesco tariffs was premised on revenue required.
