Absa Bank Zambia says 2020 marks a true milestone for the organization as it focuses on expansion into the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Region.
And Bank Managing Director has been awarded the 2020 Southern African Women in Leadership (SAWIL) Trailblazer Award.
Marketing and Communications Manager Banji Lufungulo disclosed to Money FM News in a statement that Mizinga Melu was recognized for her leadership continued efforts to build, inspire and lift others across different societal groups.
“Mizinga Melu has worked across six African countries including Absa’s subsidiary in Tanzania as well as regionally in South Africa prior to her current role within its Zambian operation.”
“She is an eight-time award winner who has also been recognized as the 2020 Banking CEO of the Year Zambia by International Business Magazine, 2019 Banking CEO of Year Zambia by International Business Magazine, 2017 Transformational Leadership Award among numerous prestigious accolades.”
Meanwhile, Absa Regional Operations, Deputy Group CEO and Chief Executive Peter Matlare said the bank is elated that Ms. Melu’s authentic, inclusive and trailblazing leadership style has been recognized through this accolade, as she demonstrates the caliber of leadership that is celebrated and cherished in the organization.
