• Extend the axe to the two Permanent Secretaries of Health.
• It will send positive and strong signals to all public Service workers.
Medical for Quality Healthcare in Zambia (MQHZ) has urged President Edgar Lungu to consider dismissing the two Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Health.
Organization Director General Dr. Quince Mwabu told Money FM News that President Lungu must also relieve the Directors at Medical Stores Limited and Zambia Medicines and Regulations Authority (ZAMRA) of their duties due to alleged incompetency and negligence.
And Dr. Mwabu thanked the Head of State for terminating the appointment of Dr. Chitalu Chilufya as Minister of Health as the move will send strong signals to all public Service workers who betray public trust.
“Medical for Quality Healthcare in Zambia wants to thank President Edgar Lungu for taking action over the Ministry of Health scandal by firing the Minister of Health, Dr Chitalu Chilufya.”
“However, we would like the President to extend the axe to the two Permanent Secretaries of Health and their two Directors at Medical Stores Ltd (MSL) and Zambia Medicines and Regulations Authority (ZAMRA) due to their incompetency and negligence,” Dr. Mwabu demanded.
He further congratulated Bwana Mkubwa Member of Parlaiment Dr. Jonas Chanda for his new appointment as Health Minister, and wished him well as he champions the promotion of quality healthcare in Zambia.
And Dr. Mwabu reaffirmed the need for Zambians to uphold the public health Covid 19 guidelines of wearing facemasks in public places, hand sanitizing or hand washing, maintaining social distance, avoiding crowded places and staying at home and seek medical attention if symptomatic.
