Zamtel to increase access to quality education

• Back2School promotion is meant to ease the financial burden.
• Vouchers ranges from K1, 500, K2, 500 and K3000.
• To cater for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education.

State owned telecommunications company says it will endeavor to help increase equitable access to quality, effective and efficient education and skills training in the country.
Speaking during the launch of a new and school fees promotion dubbed Back2School which allows its mobile money customers to win school fees vouchers of up to K3, 000, Zamtel Chief Commercial Officer Chibeza Ngoma said the initiative is meant to ease the financial burden that customers face when financing education.
Mr Ngoma explains that the vouchers will cater for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary education and ranges from K1, 500, K2, 500 and K3, 000.
“Back2School months, particularly January is always hard on parents and guardians and the COVID pandemic has further worsened this situation,” he said.
“As Zamtel, our Back2School promotion is a form of financial relief to parents by giving away School Fees vouchers. We also believe this will help parents a great deal and assist them by alleviating the burden of looking for school fees during these trying moments.”
He revealed that the company will soon be announcing more promotions and innovations in the education space following the recent launch of E-learning platform in partnership with the Examinations Council.
“This promotion will have a daily draw of six lucky winners commencing today and will run up to 31st January 2021, with winners being announced via Zamtel social media platforms, partner radio stations and newspapers,” he noted.
