India applauded for vaccines

• India congratulated over the two locally made Covid 19 vaccines made in that country.
• President Edgar Lungu has prioritized health as a key economic investment for Zambia to become a prosperous middle- income country by 2030.
• Kapijimpanga urged specialists at PSRI to design programs of mainly doing medical-surgical camps in Zambia.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to India has congratulated India over the two locally made Covid 19 vaccines made in that country.
Speaking when she toured Pushpawati Singhania Hospital and Research Institute a multi-specialty hospital, in New Delhi India, Judith Kapijimpanga has congratulated India over the two locally made Covid-19 vaccines made in that country.
Mrs. Kapijimpanga has further congratulated Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for the launch of a massive vaccination exercise in his country.
“I further wish to congratulate Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi ji for the launch of a massive vaccination exercise in his country,” Mrs. Kapijimpanga said.
She added that Zambia, being one of the friendly countries to India, would definitely request for vaccines supply following necessary steps.
“President Edgar Lungu has prioritized health as a key economic investment to spur our nation to become a prosperous middle- income country by 2030,” Mrs. Kapijimpanga said.
The High Commissioner urged specialists at PSRI to design programs of mainly doing medical-surgical camps in Zambia, and only exceptional cases refer for treatment in India.
“More cases will have to be handled in Zambia as the budget for 2021 speaks to local super-specialty treatments,” she said.
And Pushpawati Singhania Hospital and Research Institute (PSRI) Chief Executive Officer- Dr.Dipak Shukla said PSRI hospital had 23 supers-specialties run by experienced specialists.
“PSRI hospital is willing to collaborate in disciplines such as cardiac care Neurospine, oncology, orthopaedics, arthroplasty, renal science and organ transplant,” Dr. Shukla said.
