Traditional Leaders assured Govt’s support – Luanshya Mayor

• Government’s working relationship with traditional leaders is cordial.
• Traditional Leaders are key partners with government.
• The works through President Edgar Lungu’s Administration is evident for all to see.

Luanshya Mayor has assured traditional leaders of governments support by ensuring that no one is left behind.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call to Chief Nkambo of the Lamba speaking people in the Copperbelt Province, Nathan Chanda said government’s working relationship with traditional leaders is cordial as they are custodians of Wisdom and guidance in their Chiefdoms.

“Let me assure you of our support by ensuring that no one is left behind,” he said.

Mr. Chanda further re-echoed President Edgar Lungu’s statement on the importance of national values and principles when he addressed the nation that the country is assured of peace before, during and after the election saying in the absence of peace, there cannot be any meaningful development.

“We want to assure you and echo the statement of President Edgar Lungu that we are assured of peace before, during and after the election because in the absence of peace, we can’t have any meaningful development,” the City Mayor said.

Meanwhile Chief Nkambo has noted that traditional leaders are key partners with government stating that the work through President Edgar Lungus’s Administration is evident for all to see.

“We appreciate the works that President Edgar Lungu is doing, the works are evident for all to see,” he said.

The Traditional Leader further noted that peace should be maintained at all levels for the better of the people.

“I urge my fellow countrymen and women to follow the path of peace,” said Chief Nkambo.
