Chipangali resident arrested for forgery.

• Edward Banda contravened Section 55 (6) (d) of the Medicines and Allied Substances Act (No. 3) of 2013.
• Arrested on three counts.
• In a related incident, Stellia Sakala, female aged 37 has been jointly charged with Gladys Sakala, female aged 21 on one count of operating a pharmacy without a Certificate of Registration.

Zambia Medicine and Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) says a Chipangali District resident in Eastern Province has been arrested on three counts of impersonating a ZAMRA inspector, forgery and uttering a false ZAMRA Health Shop Permit.

ZAMRA Senior Public Relations Officer, Christabel Illiampu disclosed that Edward Banda, male aged 27 had contravened Section 55 (6) (d) of the Medicines and Allied Substances Act (No. 3) of 2013 of the Laws of Zambia, Section 32 and Section 38 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia respectively and would appear in court soon for trial.

“In a related incident, Stellia Sakala, female aged 37 has been jointly charged with Gladys Sakala, female aged 21 on one count of operating a pharmacy without a Certificate of Registration issued by the Authority in contravention of Section 14 (1) of the Medicines and Allied Substances Act (No.3) of 2013 of the Laws of Zambia,” she revealed further.
Ms. Illiampu however said the court case was ongoing at Chadiza Magistrate court.
