Be wary of land swindlers, cautions Real Estate Expert

• A lot of Real estate companies have mushroomed in the country.
• Citizens must ensure that they are dealing with registered and recognized firms.
• Local authorities must come on board and that whoever is selling land has adequate documentation.

A Real Estate Expert has cautioned members of the public to be wary of land swindlers that have invaded the country’s Real Estate market.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Fairworld Properties Chief Executive Officer Chisebwe Fumbeshi notes that a lot of Real estate companies have mushroomed in the country, hence the need for citizens to ensure that they are dealing with registered and recognized firms.
Mr. Fumbeshi has also urged the local authorities to come on board and see to it that whoever is selling land in the country has adequate documentation.
“There have been an increase of demand for land in Lusaka and other towns along the line of rail,” Mr. Fumbeshi said.
Mr. Fumbeshi noted that there are also a lot of real estate companies that have come up but the general public must ensure that all the land processes are ticked and well processed before paying for the land.
“People need to engage professionals to advise them on how do go about land processes, for example get someone who is able to tell you that this is land for the company or land owned by other people ,” he advised.
Recently, over 200 people were swindled in Kabangwe area by a fake real estate company.
