Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) has with immediate effect suspended Marshal’s Electronic System from participating in public procurement in the country for one year for underperformance of contractual obligations.
Authority Public Relations Officer Nchimunya Muganya told Money FM News that all procuring entities are expected to enforce the suspension by not awarding contracts to the company, sale or issue solicitation documents or invite bids from the firm.
Ms. Muganya stated that the suspension includes any successor in interest including any entity which employs or is associated with any partners, directors or other partners considered as successors in interest.
“Procuring entities are further urged not to enter into new contracts with the company after the date of this circular and during the period that the suspension will be in force,” Ms. Muganya stated.
She however said the suspension does not in any way limit the company from performing outstanding contracts that were entered into before the date of the suspension.
Ms. Muganya further urged all procuring entities not to engage in any procurement process with the named company.
