Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has a total of 130 beneficiaries for Skills and school bursaries amounting to K1, 435,345, under the 2022 first quarter of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) disbursement for Chitambo Town Council.
Council Public Relations officer Rodrick Nyirenda revealed to Money FM News that the approval follows the CDF Committee’s recommendations for youth, women and community empowerment grants, community projects, skills and school bursaries submitted to Minister in charge, Garry Nkombo.
Mr. Nyirenda said other approved categories include 13 beneficiaries under empowerment grants amounting to K485, 000 and 16 community projects totaling 3,512,000.
“The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has approved the 2022 first quarter of CDF disbursement through a letter addressed to the Council Secretary Chitambo Town Council dated 5/09/2022.”
“The approval has been done in accordance with section 4(c) of the constituency development fund act no.11 of 2018,” Mr. Nyirenda said.
He added that the Minister’ has elated the District officials, see it is a giant step in actualizing the district’s development agenda.
