Kaputa Council disburses over K1 million CDF grants to 145 clubs

• K1,153,961 has been paid to 145 clubs
• The Council also spent K2, 481,449 on learners’ bursaries and student training skills.
• Earth moving machine has been procured.

Kaputa Town Council has disclosed that the district has disbursed K1, 153, 961 to 145 clubs under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Council Public Relations Officer Eddie Ngoma said out of the 152 clubs that applied for funding, only 145 have been paid while the remaining seven are waiting for approval from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ngoma reveals that K2, 481,449 has been spent on 333 learners at Secondary School level for school bursaries and 143 student skills training.

“Overall, the performance of the 2022 CDF is overwhelming and Kaputa Town Council will work hard and stand on quality, cost effective and timely delivery of Municipal services to the people of Kaputa,” Mr. Ngoma stated.
He also disclosed that an earth moving machine has been procured and is likely to be delivered this December.
