LuSE TRADING SUMMARY FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 2018

At the end of today’s trading session on the Lusaka Stock Exchange, a total of 934,878 shares in 47 deals, corresponding to a market value of ZMW 2,977,899.14, were traded. 11 equities participated in trading, ending with three gainers and two losers. SCBL led the gainers with 1.85% share price appreciation, followed by ZNCO (+1.06%) and BATA (+0.42%). The two losers on the day were CECZ (-8.15%) and PUMA(-0.99%). BATA recorded the highest volume of 628,400 traded shares, followed by REIZ(230,000), CCAF (23,800) and PUMA (16,915). Regarding the performance of LuSE market indices, the benchmark LuSE All Share Index (LASI) dropped 36.11 (-0.66%) points to close at 5,409.15, representing a 1-week loss of 0.78%, a 4-week loss of 0.86%, but an overall year-to-date gain of 1.53%.
