The Teaching Service commission has refuted reports attributed to its chairperson Stanley M’hango saying that applicants for the 2018 Teacher Recruitment will be required to pay K300 in order to sit for aptitude tests.

Commission Spokesperson Jane Mbambara notes that the 2018 Teacher recruitment will not involve aptitude tests*.

She explains that that all services rendered by   the Commission to the teachers and the general public are free.

Ms. Mbambara has cautioned members of the public to be weary of people purporting to be officials from the Commission and collecting money for aptitude tests.

She has advised that such people should be reported to the *Law* Enforcement Agencies further advising applicants to procedure as outlined in the 2018 Teacher Recruitment Advert.

The commission is saddened by the abuse of social media by people with alleged ill intentions.
