70 companies investing in Luapula Province

The Luapula Provincial Administration says over 70 companies are at different stages in investing in the province.
Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa says ten companies are already on the sites working on their projects.
Mr. Chilangwa says this is as a result of the Investment Forum and Expo that was held last year in the province.
“Ten years from now, Luapula Province will not be the same in terms of job creation and economic activities. The Investment Forum and Expo is already bearing fruits as the people of Luapula are seeing the transformation of the province,” he said.
Mr. Chilangwa says the people of Luapula are extremely happy with the results of the expo.
“We are also putting up an aquaculture park on Lake Bangweulu which will have a fingerings production center, a fish feed production center and a training center where fishermen will be taught on fish farming,” he said.
