BoZ to release ‘improved’ K100 bank notes this week

The Bank of Zambia says the new K100 bank note with improved features is expected to be out before the end of this week.
In an exclusive interview with Money FM News, Bank of Zambia Public Relations Manager Kanguya Mayondi says the K100 bank note with new features has taken some time to be released in circulation.
Mr. Mayondi says this is because Commercial Banks had to be given time to standardize their automated teller machines and note counting machines because of the new features on the bank notes.
Mr. Mayondi says the Central Bank will continue re-sensitizing and re-educating the members of the business community about the new features on the bank notes, especially those in business that involve huge cash handling such as people in the transport sector.
