Expert tips SMEs

Financial Analyst Munyumba Mutwale says failure by government to pay contractors of services on time may lead to collapsing of businesses.
Featuring on Money FM Business Radio’s Behind the Markets segment that airs weekdays at 7:35, Mr. Mutwale of Nikiwa Capital Partners, says there is need for prompt payments to contractors of various services in supporting their businesses.
Mr. Mutwale has also advised Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) to start working within the confinement of the Zambian economy for them to survive.
Mr. Mutwale said the local SMEs should start producing fast moving low cost products saying these will move faster than durable goods.
“For SMES to survive, they need to start working within the confinement of the Zambian economy by producing fast moving low cost products as these products will move faster,” he said.
He has further observed the need to go back to the doctrine of 1991 by creating a free market.
