New Mobile Money application launched.

SPENN Zambia says the introduction of mobile money services is giving everyone equal financial opportunities through innovative technology.

Speaking at the launch of the SPENN Mobile money application, Chief Executive Officer Jens Glaso said it is a human right for everyone to have a bank account, and that SPENN has proved to be the solution that contributes to financial inclusion and supporting a cashless society for everyone.

Mr. Glaso said the mobile money application which has entered the Zambian market in partnership with Cavmont Bank was developed to offer equal financial opportunity and will allow members of the public to have easy access to services such as money transfers, airtime purchases, bills payments, payments in stores among others.
“Our mission is to give everyone equal financial opportunities through innovative technology and SPENN accessible in Zambia is a big step towards helping the country to go cashless and achieve our long term goal,” Mr. Glaso said.

He said having a bank account is the first step out of the cash society and can also be the first important step out of poverty.
“We believe it is a human right for everyone to have a bank account, and SPENN is the solution that contributes to financial inclusion and supporting a cashless society for everyone,” he added.
