Capital Market Association of Zambia Signs MOU with Rockview University

Capital Markets Association of Zambia (CRAZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rockview University aimed at enhancing the association’s outreach activities.
Speaking during the signing in Lusaka, Association Board Treasurer Sydney Kawimbe says the MOU will also help in running the annual essay competition which coincides with the launch of this year’s World Investor Week.
Mr. Kawimbe says CRAZ is the apex organization that handles the interest of capital market players.

He has also urged students to ensure they invest in capital markets in a bid for them to expand their capital unlike investing in consumables such as smart phones.
He revealed that the closing date for the essay submission has been adjusted further to 14th of October from the initial 7th October, so as to give time to participants of the competition to write up a professional document.
“The best essay you are going to have a cool K6000 which you can even use to buy shares, the second prize is K3000, K2,500 for the third price,” said Mr Kawimbe.
And Rockview University School of Business Head of Department Professor Mable Mandela has expressed gratitude to CRAZ for the gesture.
Professor Mandela further urged students to take keen interest in understanding and investing on capital markets besides taking part in the Essay Competition which she said every student is expected to take part in.
“Am excited and I hope all of us here in this school are going to participate in the competition and it is also a rare opportunity for us to understand capital markets,” she said.
