Mines Minister pledges to support expansion of Lubambe Mine Project

Minister of Mines and Minerals Development has pledged to ensure that the expansion of Lubambe Mine Limited Project in Chililabombwe, on the Copperbelt Province becomes a reality.
Richard Musukwa said once expanded, the project will benefit a lot of Zambians as well as contribute to the Country’s economy.
Mr. Musukwa stated that his Ministry has always been committed towards the expansion of the Lubambe Mining project.
“My Ministry shall see to it that the directive by the President is worked on as soon as possible. The project is set to benefit the Zambian people, and as a Ministry, we are in full support and are going to do what we can in ensuring the Project becomes a reality within the shortest possible time,” Mr Musukwa said.
He assured Management at Lubambe Mine that he will do everything in his capacity as Minister of Mines to make sure that the Project pulls through.
“Like the President said, the success of this Project will create jobs for the people and create wealth for Zambia as a whole and hence my Ministry’s total support and commitment towards the expansion of the Lubambe Mining Project” he added.
On Thursday, President Edgar Lungu tasked the Ministries of Mines and Lands Jean Kapata, as well as Presidential Affairs to expedite the implementation process of the Lubambe Mine Limited expansion Project.
