1,191 new Covid-19 cases with 14 deaths recorded

• 8,355 testes conducted in the last 24 hours.
• 10 classified as Covid-19 deaths
• 3 classified as Covid-19 associated deaths

Minister of Health says the country has recorded 1,191 new Covid-19 cases with 14 deaths out of the 8,355 testes conducted in the last 24 hours.
In a statement made available to Money FM News, Dr Chanda said this brings the number of cumulative tests conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic to 925,784 while cases stand at 56, 233 since the outbreak.
Dr Chanda noted that of the 14 deaths recorded 10 have been classified as Covid-19 deaths while 3 have been classified as Covid-19 associated deaths while one case is yet to be classified.
He said 302 people have recovered bringing the cumulative number of recoveries to 49, 696.
Dr Chanda further said currently hospitalized cases stand at 464, while community managed cases stand at 5279 bringing the total number of active cases to 5,743
