NCZ completes distribution of D Compound for Lusaka Province

• NCZ distributed 10,000 metric tonnes of D Compound fertilizer for Lusaka Province ahead of the 2021/2022 farming season.
• The fertilizer will be distributed to Lusaka, Kafue, Chilanga and Chongwe Districts.
• NCZ is targeting to produce 5,000 metric tonnes of D Compound Fertilizer for the open market.

Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ) says it has finalized the distribution of 10,000 metric tonnes of D Compound fertilizer for Lusaka Province ahead of the 2021/2022 farming season.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Marketing and Sales Manager Cleopatra Chanda said Government contracted NCZ to distribute D Compound fertilizer to Lusaka, Kafue, Chilanga and Chongwe Districts.
Ms. Chanda disclosed that the company was awarded the contract under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) of which the fertilizer was produced and delivered to Government to be distributed to the four districts in Lusaka Province.
She stated that currently, NCZ is targeting to produce 5,000 metric tonnes of D Compound Fertilizer for the open market.
“The company will commence distribution of D Compound Fertilizer to other provinces once it receives support from Government,” Ms. Chanda said.
She could however not disclose the amount of money that has been spent on the fertilizer as it is sensitive information.
