Continue being tax complaint – ZRA

• Avoid smuggling and other related items.
• They are not good for your business.
• Engage ZRA and get the right information on the correct taxes.

Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has urged members of the public to continue being tax complaint.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Authority Corporate Communications Manager Topsy Sikalinda emphasized the need for citizens to avoid engaging in smuggling activities because such acts are not good for business.
He further advised tax payers to engage the Authority and get the right information on the correct taxes that are expected to be paid.
“Our appeal to the general public is that continue being tax compliant and apart from being tax compliant lets avoid doing unnecessary things, smuggling and other related items. We are appealing to the general public that they are not good for you, they are not good for your business.”
“And please engage ZRA we have a lot of things that are duty free and we see them being smuggled, so let’s avoid by ensuring that we engage ZRA and get the right information on the correct taxes that are expected to be paid,” Mr. Sikalinda emphasized.
And Mr. Sikalinda disclosed that the Authority has had a positive year so far as they have continued operating normally and enforcements are yielding fruitful results.
“We have had a fair positive year so far. We continue operating normally and our enforcements are yielding results,” he said.
