Siavonga Town Council issues 445 Occupancy Licenses

• The remaining batch of the occupancy licenses are still being processed
• Residents are advised to come through to the Council for payments and collection of their licenses.
• The Local Authority has since requested those who are building to come through to the Civic Center.

Siavonga Town Council says it has prepared 445 Occupancy Licenses to be issued to the Residents who were captured under Medeem.

Council Public Relations Officer Gwendolyn Mchenga said the Occupancy Licenses covers Kanyelele, Sondela, Nsanje Muleke, Lusumpuko, Fishing Camps, Game Area, Simoko and Kaleya.

Ms. Mchenga however sated says the remaining batch of the occupancy licenses are still being processed and residents will be informed as soon as they are ready.

“Residents are advised to come through to the Council for payments and collection of their licenses,” she said.

According to Ms. Mchenge, ‘Medeem’ is “A company that was giving plots but didn’t offer residents documents.”

She said the Local Authority has since requested those who are building to come through to the Civic Center with their ownership documents without fail.
