Reduce the cost of doing Business, UTDAWUZ urges Govt

• Government must reduce the cost of doing business in the country
• The cost of doing business is high
• Government should increase incentives for the sector

United Truck Drivers and Allied Workers Union of Zambia says it expects Government to reduce the cost of doing business in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Union President Givers Moonga noted the cost of doing business is high, hence making the drivers to earn less than the expected income.
Mr. Moonga said once Government gives incentives to the Truckers Association of Zambia, truck drivers want to see improved conditions of service.
“Truck drivers are mostly disadvantaged when it comes to benefiting from incentives that are given to the sector hence the union wants to see change this year,” he said
Mr. Moonga stated that Government should increase incentives for the sector so that in return drivers are paid handsomely.
“Some truck owners should also be faithful when it comes to disclosing how much they earn during a collective bargaining in order for both the employees and employers to benefit,” he added
Minister of Finance Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane announced in a statement that the 2022 National Budget will be presented to Parliament on Friday October 29, 2021.
