Maintain the current fuel prices during the next monthly review – PTAZ

Petroleum Transporters Association of Zambia has called on Energy Regulation Board (ERB) to maintain the current fuel prices during the next monthly review.
Speaking in interview with Money FM News, Association Secretary General Benson Tembo stated that Zambia is the only country with cheap petroleum products compared to neighboring countries, hence the need to maintain the prices.
He said it is the Association’s hope that fuel pump prices will not reduce further as ERB reviews the prices monthly.
And Mr. Tembo has welcomed the slight reduction in fuel pump prices.
We have been very consistent when it comes to transporting Fuel weather there is a hike in fuel or not and we always welcome the move by Government when it comes to decisions pertaining fuel,” he said
Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has reduced pump price of petroleum products by K1.32 ngwee per liter for petrol, and K1.22 ngwee for Diesel, which will now be sold as low Sulphur Gasoil/Diesel, while Kerosene remains unchanged at K15.39.
The prices will be reviewed every month.
