School Accountant nabbed for theft of over K52, 000

• Mwanangombe Malambo has been arrested and charged with Theft by Public Servant contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
• Mr. Malambo stole funds amounting to K52, 225, the property of Limulunga Secondary School.
• He has been released on bond and will appear in Court soon.

Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested an Accountant at Mandanga Secondary School in Mongu, Western Province for theft by Public Servant involving over K52, 000.
In a statement, Commission Head-Corporate Communication Timothy Moono identified the suspect as Mwanangombe Malambo aged 43, of House No. T3, Mulambwa Compound in Mongu.
Mr. Moono explained that on dates unknown but between July, 2017 and July, 2018, in Limulunga District of the Western Province, Mr. Malambo stole K52, 225, the property of Limulunga Secondary School, which came into his possession by virtue of his employment as an Accounts Assistant.
“Mr. Mwanagombe aged 43, of House No. T3 of Mulambwa Compound in Mongu, has been arrested and charged with Theft by Public Servant contrary to Section 277 as read with Section 265 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.”
“Details are that Mr. Mwanangombe Malambo, on dates unknown but between July, 2017 and July, 2018 at Limulunga in the Limulunga District of the Western Province of the Republic of Zambia, being a Public Servant, namely Accounts Assistant at Limulunga Secondary School did steal funds amounting to K52,225, the property of Limulunga Secondary School, which came into his possession by virtue of his employment,” Mr. Moono explained.
He added that Mr. Malambo has since been released on bond and is expected to appear in Court soon.
