Mongu Central, Nalikwanda constituencies receive third quarter CDF

• The K12 million allocation hit the Council account on Monday.
• This disbursement is from the K1, 003,656,525 released by the Ministry of Local Government.
• Mongu Municipal Council will ensure accountability and transparency in the utilization of the funds.

Mongu Mayor has disclosed that Mongu Central and Nalikwanda constituencies have received third quarter of their 2022 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation amounting to slightly over K12 million.
Nyambe Muyumbana revealed that the K12 million allocation hit the Council account on Monday this week.
Mr. Muyumbana said Mongu Municipal Council will ensure that there is accountability and transparency in the utilization of the funds in both Mongu Central and Nalikwanda constituencies.
“This disbursement is from the K1, 003,656,525 released by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to local authorities for CDF. In the interest of transparency and accountability, be informed that our K12 million allocation hit the Council account on Monday,” Mr. Muyumbana stated.
Yesterday, Ministry of Local Government disclosed that it has disbursed over K1. 3 billion as part of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to all the 156 Constituencies countrywide which translates to K6, 433, 695.67 per Constituency.
This brings the total amount of funds disbursed under the 2022 CDF to K19, 860,239.85 per Constituency.
