A Ndola based Steel Company, Slykm Steel Diamond Company, has won the 2018 International Business Initiative Direction (BID) quality Awards held in London, United Kingdom.
The Company has since encouraged local companies to be innovative and move with technology as they improve on the quality of their products.
Slykm Steel Diamond Company believes that Zambian companies have what it takes to compete on the international market.

Mrs. Phiri says as the world advances in technology, local companies must also invest in new technological advancements so as to improve on the quality of their products.
“Local companies should not shy aware from learning what others have done. Learning from other people’s experiences can also help them grow their businesses,” she said.
And Slykm Steel Diamond Company Managing Director, and Award Winner Mathews Phiri says it is motivating that out of all the countries that participated in the awards he was able to walk away with an award.
