Police in Lusaka say they have made strides in investigating two aggravated robberies that took place last month within Lusaka in November.
Provincial Police Commissioner Nelson Phiri says one of the robberies occurred at Europa Casino along Kafue Road where about one hundred and forty-nine thousand Kwacha was stolen.
In a statement made available to Money FM News Lusaka, Mr. Phiri says the second Robbery took place at Lake Petroleum Filling Station Along Great North Road in Lusaka on 1st November, 2018 at 01 00 hours.
Mr Phiri says that police have also managed to recover two motor vehicles, two shot guns and assorted house hold goods worth thousands of Kwacha today, that are believed to have been stolen from households.
Mr Phiri says the two motor vehicles are a Toyota Mark X grey in color registration number BAE 3056 and a Mitsubishi junior Pajero registration number ALX 7205 which criminals attempted to change the color.
He says police have also managed to apprehended two suspects whose names have been withheld that led to the recoveries of the items.
Among the items recovered include A set of brown sofa, aDouble Chest fridge, an Electrical Stove, a music system, two fridges, dinner Set, a yamaha Keyboard a fan a two gas cylinders ,two Plasma televisions, two Carpets ,One Bicycle,two Speakers one Mattress, one Genset, two Masks which the criminals wore during the Aggravated Robberies and eighty (80) pockets of cement.
