Mr Soko says the country has seen a relative reduction of road accident fatalities for the period from January to September this year as compared to the same period last year.
He says the introduction of surveillance cameras on most roads in the country, motorist is now adhering to speed limits set on the roads, a situation that will see a reduction in road clashers.
“We have and will continue putting in place effective strategies to reduce the numbers of road crashes that result into injury and death,” he said.
He adds that the alarming rate of road deaths and injuries during the festive season and throughout the year remains a great concern for RTSA and government.
