RTSA offices to remain open on Saturday’s throughout December 2018.

The Road Transport and Safety Agency says all -RTSA Stations across the country will remain open on Saturdays throughout the month of December 2018.
In a statement made available to Money FM News RTSA Head of Public Relations Fredrick Mubanga says the decision has been arrived at in a bid to accommodate for the payment of Road Tax and other licensing needs for motorists and fleet owners.
Mr Mubanga has since urged motorist to utilize the opportunity and comply with the law by ensuring that they pay for all road licenses before the end of the year to avoid any inconveniences and avoid last minute payment of all Statutory obligations associated with the road transport sector.
Mr Mubanga says the Agency will continue to put in place measures to reduce the numbers of road traffic fatalities to minimal levels in order to maintain the positive outlook for the road safety prospects which has seen the country record a relative reduction of road accident fatalities for the period January to September, 2018 compared to the same period last year.
“As we know, the festive season is characterized by increased volumes of road users and the RTSA has therefore, put in place measures that draw strength from a strong collection of law enforcement agencies such as the RTSA and the Zambia Police traffic section.”
He adds that RTSA through the Director, Mr. Zindaba Soko, last week launched the annual National Festive Season Road Safety Campaign as means of intensifying traffic law enforcement and road safety publicity, as well as education campaigns across the country.
