EIZ pledges to support govt’s infrastructure initiatives

The Engineering Institute of Zambia says it will support government’s initiatives in the development of infrastructure in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Money FM News, Institute President Engineer Sydney Matamwandi says the construction of the Nuclear Research Center in the country will promote the increase in power generation.
Engineer Matamwandi says once completed, the nuclear research center is an important government project that need the support from the institution.
The Zambian government with the help from Russia intends to construct a nuclear research center, this was disclosed by Zambia’s Ambassador to Russia Shadreck Luwita at the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Investment Forum in Moscow,
Mr. Luwita said that an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement had been signed and the site for the construction of the reactor had been chosen.
