Vietnam to support Zambia in fish farming and rice growing

The Vietnamese Government has pledged to support Zambia with expertise in fish farming and rice growing.
In a statement made available to Money FM News by First Secretary/Press and Tourism Zambia Embassy in Ethiopia Inutu Mupango Mwanza, special envoy to the Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam Ambassador to Ethiopia with Residence in Tanzania, Nguyen Kim Doanre made the pledge during a bilateral meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji.
He Doanre says Vietnam was a large producer of fresh fish and could help Zambia with mechanisms of how to increase fish farming.
Mr.Doanre pledged to increase the economic trade between Zambia and Vietnam.
“Vietnam currently imports copper, colbalt and timber from Zambia, the more reason the two countries should find ways of increasing trade.” He said
And speaking at the meeting Foreign Affairs Minister invited Vietnmese government to consider importing honey from Zambia.
Mr Malanji says the Zambian honey is of good quality and was already being exported to countries like China.
Mr.Malanji also says Zambia could also export groundnuts and cashew nuts to Vietnam.
Mr Malanji further says Zambia is an economic hub that was attracting investors from many parts of the world.
