Zambia has immense opportunities for e-commerce.

The Market Hub says Zambia has immense opportunities for electronic commerce following the fast growth rate of internet uses.
Speaking during the unveiling of the, The Market Hub Platform, organisation Chief Executive Officer David Kaunda said the e-commerce platform aims at linking the buyer and the seller removing geographical barriers that results from the brick and mortar kind of business.
Mr Kaunda said the evolvement in technology has created a huge room for people in the country and the word to interact.
He added that according to the Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority-ZICTA over 5.2 million people in the country have access to internet services hence increasing opportunities for e-commerce growth in the country.
“It is estimated by the Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority-ZICTA that about 5.2 million people of the country’s population have access to internet in the country” Mr Kaunda said.
Mr Kaunda further said the online platform is very secure as the organization is committed transactions of the customers are not compromised.
“We have a partner who is pay-gate who has good security features and ensures that services provided to customers are confidential” Mr Kaunda said.
