Inner-city railway system, in-talks.

The Turkish Locomotive and Engine Industry says it intends to partner with Zambia Railways Limited to develop an inner-city railway system and provide skills training in production and refurbishment of locomotives.
Company General Director Hayri Avci explains that his company was looking forward to a strategic partnership with Zambia Railways Limited in developing new technologies in locomotive designs, production, refurbishment and improving the general operations of the railway system in Zambia.
This is according to a statement issued to Money FM today by Mr. Jerry Munthali, the First Secretary for Press at the Zambian Embassy in Turkey who says Mr. Avci was speaking when Zambia’s Ambassador to Turkey, Joseph Chilengi visited the Tulomsas factory.
And Dr Chilengi notes that Tulomsas was one of the key actors in the modernization of Turkey’s railway system and Zambia was looking forward to learn best practices from the company.
