Health Professions Council of Zambia takes defaulting Practitioners to court

The Health Professions Council of Zambia has commenced the process of taking to Court all defaulting Health Practitioners.


In a statement issued to Money FM News, Council registrar and  Chief Executive Officer Bemba Bwalya  says  defaulters include health  Practitioners practicing without valid registration certificates as well as those that have not renewed their Annual Practicing Certificates for 2019 and or preceding years.


Mr Bwalya says the council has made constant reminders to noncompliant health practitioners and accorded them ample time in which to comply.
He adds that starting next year; a list of compliant health practitioners will be published for the public to be aware of individuals certified to provide healthcare services in Zambia.
