Mongu High Court Judge arrested

• Judge Wilfred is alleged to have expired and cancelled the title for property in Woodlands area belonging to Zambia Army.
• An Act which was arbitrary and prejudicial to the rights and interest of Government.
• He was released on Police Bond pending court appearance.

Police have charged and arrested Mongu High Court Judge for Willful Failure to comply with the law, procedure or guidelines relating to the allocation and disposal of property.
Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale revealed that Judge Wilfred Kopa Muma 58, of State Lodge in Chongwe District, is alleged to have expired and cancelled the title for property in Woodlands area belonging to Zambia Army and later offered it to the Patriotic Front (PF).
Mr. Mwale said this is an Act which was arbitrary and prejudicial to the rights and interest of Government.
“Police charged and arrested Wilfred Kopa Muma aged 58 of State Lodge in Chongwe District for the offence of Willful Failure to comply with the law or procedure or guidelines relating to the allocation and disposal of property contrary to section 34 (2) (b) of the Anti-Corruption Act number 3 of 2012 and Abuse of Authority of Office contrary to section 21 (1) (a) as read with section 41 of the Anti-Corruption Act number 3 of 2012.”
“He was released on Police Bond pending court appearance,” Mr. Mwale revealed.
