Albinism Foundation of Zambia says the launch of the International Federation of People with Albinism and Blindness (IFPAB) in Zambia will improve the economic conditions of albinos.
In an interview with Money FM, Foundation Managing Coordinator, Baidon Chandipo says the bursaries and business funding initiatives run by IFPAB will improve albinos’ access to education and income generating activities.
Mr. Chandipo notes that IFPAB has come at the right time as albinos continue to be denied equal opportunities in society.
‘‘This particular initiative will add value to albinos as we (albinos) have not been given an equal share of opportunities, especially in employment,’’ he said.
‘‘If IFPAB programs carter for everyone living with albinos, then they will be a lot of change for us.’’
The International Federation of People with Albinism and Blindness (IFPAB) was launched in Lusaka yesterday.
