Artist urged to invest in stock markets-LuSE

The Lusaka Securities Exchange LUSE has urged artist in the country to prepared for their future by investing in the stock markets
Speaking at the ring the bail event to mark the 25 years existence of the National Arts Council in Zambia and the hosting of the arts business forum, LUSE Chairperson Ms Priscilla Sampa said the business forum will accord LUSE an opportunity to educate artiest on the benefit of investing on the stock market.
Ms Sampa said that once the artist plan for their retirement they will be able to have a fail back plan once they retire from the entertainment industry.
“Artist should enhance themselves, and begin to look at themselves as entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry to make money,” She said
And Speaking at the same event National Arts Council Chairperson, Patrick Samwimbila said it’s time the art industry in the country was transformed in to an entrepreneurship industry.
Mr Samwimbila said transforming the industry into an entrepreneurship industry will enable artist in the country to contribute greatly to the country’s economic development.

He laments that the for a long time the entertainment industry has been looked at in a tradition way adding that it is time the industry has to be looked at in a n the economic way.
