Brazil partners with Zambia in phosphate fertilizer production

• Agronelli completes analysis of Zambian soil.
• Brazil’s Phosphate Fertilizer will enable Zambia produce drought-resistant bumper harvest.
• Zambia and Brazil have similar soil patterns.

Brazil’s leading Agricultural Company, Agronelli has completed its analysis of Zambian soil and is ready to send suitable phosphate fertilizer to Zambia.
And Zambia’s Ambassador to Brazil Dr. Alfreda Kansembe-Mwamba expressed delight with the Company’s move to partner with the country in phosphate fertilizer production.
Ambassador Kansembe said during a meeting held in Uberaba Brazil that the gesture by the fertilizer hub to visit Zambia and meet the officials from Ministry of Agriculture and other relevant institutions is a welcome move.
She explained that, “Zambia could become the distribution centre of Agronelli’s Phosphate fertilizer in the region and beyond, adding that the fertilizer from Brazil will enable the country to produce a drought-resistant bumper harvest.”
And Agronelli Research Supervisor, Samilia Sousa observed that Zambia and Brazil have similar soil patterns which makes the two Countries have a greater opportunity to do business in the Agricultural industry and expand it further.
Meanwhile, Agronelli Company Director Renato Costa disclosed that a team of experts from the Agro Company are expected to visit Zambia in the second quarter of this year.
Mr Costa said, “Brazil’s Agricultural sector has been thriving even with fluctuations in weather patterns because of the suitable fertilizer that is able to support the industry in all seasons.”
Zambia sent its soil samples over a year ago and the Brazilian company is ready to send a team of experts to Zambia in order to meet stakeholders in the Agricultural sector.
