Brazilian Fertilizers Plant expresses interest to partner with the Ministry of agriculture

The Zambia Embassy in Brazil says a Brazilian Fertilizers Plant has expressed interest to partner with the Ministry of agriculture for the supply of fertilizer to Zambia.
Zambia’s Ambassador to Brazil, Dr. Alfreda Kansembe-Mwamba was speaking when she conducted a tour of Agronelli Fertilizers Plant in search of lasting solutions to drought-stricken areas in Zambia due to climate change.
Agronelli is the hub of phosphate fertilizer and it supplies the product to over 200,000 small scale and commercial farmers across Brazil and is credited as Brazil’s world class agro industry.
Dr. Mwamba says a team of researchers from Agronelli will study the Zambian soil so that they understand what type of fertilizer will be suitable for Zambia’s Agricultural industry.
Agronelli Fertilizer has a huge market among Brazilian farmers that brings in revenue of $50 million per year from sales.
