Businesses urged to conform to the New Normal

The Private Sector Development Association (PSDA) has urged businesses in the country to transform in order to survive the new normal.
Speaking when he featured on Money FM program dubbed “Policy Power and Money” which airs every Monday and Thursday at 09: 00 hours, Association President Yusuf Dodia says the only way enterprises can actualize their full potential in light of Covid-19 is by restructuring and re-inverting their business plans to suit the healthy conditions of the pandemic.
“Now is the time for businesses to restructure, reinvent and suit the healthy conditions of Covid-19, restaurants had to restructure their operations and operated on take away basis which other business can also embrace,” he said.
Mr Dodia pointed out schools, as some of the businesses that have been innovative by embracing electronic learning, despite the outbreak of Covid-19.
“For a long time schools have been using e- learning platforms to provide lessons to learners, and the coming in of the epidemic has made e-learning as the best option to provide lessons a thing which other enterprises can learn from,” Mr Dodia said.
He has however urged government to engage internet service providers, so that they can reduce the costs of internet rates and make it easy for businesses dependent of internet to operate without difficulties in this period.
Mr Dodia has further advised government to also consider increasing investment in the telecommunication industry noting that the further is based on technology
