BuyZed urges Luapula leadership to push for decentralized development

BuyZed campaign has urged Luapula Province Administration to continue showcasing locally produced products and push for decentralized development.
Speaking to Money FM News in an interview, Organization Executive Director Evans Ngoma said the Provincial leadership must also create conducive working conditions within the existing zones.
Mr. Ngoma commended the companies in Luapula Province that are creating jobs and aiding in socio-economic growth.
He stated that the organization believes that value addition is the game changer especially to the many available raw materials.
Mr. Ngoma added that as the country moves along the value chains, jobs and economic opportunities are created, thereby helping in lifting and improving lifestyles.
“We strongly advocate and believe that value addition is the game changer especially to our many available raw materials. As we move along the value chains, jobs and economic opportunities are created and this helps in lifting and improving our lifestyles individually and collectively,” Mr. Ngoma said.
And Mr. Ngoma reiterated calls for manufacturers to be consistent in quality, product availability and the need to explore exports.
“Together we can do more and to the general public, our key role is deliberate preference for that, which is made locally, and to the manufacturers, let us be consistent in quality, after sales support, product availability and even explore exports to generate much needed foreign currency,” he stated.
