Cassava processing plant construction underway.

The Luapula Province administration has launched the construction of a new cassava processing plant by Sika in Mansa district. Minister in Charge Nixon Chilangwa expressed confidence that Sika will actualize their vision of building a plant.

Mr. Chilangwa adds that the cassava processing plant situated in Chief Kalasa Lukangaba’s chiefdom will support cassava growers in the district thereby leading to job creation.
Mr. Chilangwa tells Money FM in a statement that people in the region will be actively involved to ensure that the Luapula Expo results benefit them. The Minister did not indicate how much Sika intends to invest in the cassava processing plant.
