Central Province in up to $600m investment pledges after Expo

The Central Province Administration has disclosed that 16 investors have expressed interest in in three sectors with investment pledges ranging from 200,000 dollars to 600 million dollars.
Provincial Minister Sydney Mushanga says the prospective investors have shown interest in health, mining, agriculture aviation and energy among others.
Mr. Mushanga says some investors have also expressed interest in establishing Multi Facility Economic Zones (MFEZ) in Chibombo and across 7 out of the 12 districts of the province.
He says the province has several investment opportunities in all sectors of the economy including tourism livestock, fisheries and Manufacturing among others.
The Provincial minister notes that the available opportunities in the province are highlighted by the fact that all the sectors are operating below the full employment level.
The Central Province Investment Expo was held from 8th to 13th october,2018 under the theme, “Accelerating investment for inclusive and sustainable development”.
