• 3,751, 040 are female representing 53.4 percent while 3,272,459 are male representing 46.6 percent.

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has announced that the Certified 2021 Register of Voters stands at 7,023,499.
Addressing the Media in Lusaka, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) Kryticious Nshindano said out of 7,023,499, 3,751, 040 are female representing 53.4 percent while 3,272,459 are male representing 46.6 percent.
“After Inspection, de-duplication and final consolidation, I am pleased to announce that the Certified 2021 Register of Voters stands at 7,023,499,” he announced.
Mr. Nshindano noted the age group between 24 years to 34 years accounts for the highest proportion of the registered voters at 29.6 percent, the age group from 34 to 35 years stood at 28.9% ,the lowest group 50 years and above at 17.4 percent while 24 years and below accounted for 24.4%.
He revealed that Lusaka Province accounts for the highest number of registered voters representing 17.71 % whilst North Western has the lowest at 5.51% of the total registered voters.
“At constituency level, Kanyama of Lusaka District has the highest number of registered votes at 177,495 whilst Lufubu Constituency of Ngabwe District has the lowest number of registered voters at 11,411,” the Chief Electoral Officer said.
He highlighted that, “the CEO will publish the notice in the Gazette confirming that the certificate of the Register of voters for the polling district has been completed,” as provided in the Electoral Process Act.
Mr. Nshindano explained that the Register in the Gazette replaces all registers of Voters that had previously been prepared for that polling station.
