COP27 African Group of Negotiators called to sample Zambia’s tourism in Livingstone

• Victoria Falls Visit is eminent especially this time of the year when the Zambezi River is at its Peak.
• Livingstone City is the tourist capital of Zambia as it hosts one of the 7th natural wonders.
• The City and most districts in Southern Province of Zambia also have several cultures including artifacts that depict Zambia’s history.

Livingstone City Mayor has called on delegates of African Group of Negotiators to the COP27 in Livingstone to sample Zambia’s tourism in the tourist capital as part of their stay.

Constance Nalishebo Muleabai said a visit to Livingstone is never complete without sighting the Victoria falls which forms part of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders highlighting that the Falls as a must visit place for all the delegates.

Ms. Nalishebo emphasized the Victoria Falls Visit is eminent especially this time of the year when the Zambezi River is at its Peak.

She added that the City and most Districts in Southern Province of Zambia also have several cultures including artifacts that depict Zambia’s history and heritage further assuring that the rest of the country is peaceful and secure.

“This Province and in particular Livingstone City is the tourist capital of Zambia as it hosts one of the 7th natural wonders, the mighty Victoria falls locally known as the Mosi-oa-tunya.” she said.

The Mayor was speaking during a workshop which attracted representation from various African nations that comprise the African Group of Negotiators to the COP27 in Livingstone where Government noted the need to galvanize inputs from other African nations and various institutions to come up with harmonized positions for the continent ahead of the United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP27) slated for Egypt later this year.
